In this lesson we continue our study of martyrdom by considering the martyrs since the year 400 AD. Martyrdom did not end with the end of the persecution by the Roman Empire. In fact, more people were martyred for the Faith in the 20th century than in all other centuries combined! The example of some of these martyrs in our more recent times will be discussed.
