Precepts #1: Mass Attendance on Sunday and Holy Days
Price: $5.99
Product Description
The first precept of the Church requires Catholics to assist (i.e. hear, attend) Holy Mass on all Holy Days of Obligation. These days have changed over the course of the centuries. The current list of the 10 Holy Days of Obligation has been set since 1917. With his motu proprio Supremi disciplinae Pope St. Pius X reduced the number of holy days from 36 to 8 in 1911. By 1917 two additional Holy Days had been added: The Feast of Corpus Christi and the Feast of St. Joseph.
