Tobit was a holy man who became blind. The Archangel Raphael was sent by God to help Tobit. The angel Raphael appeared to Tobias (who was Tobit’s son). The angel told Tobias to to use parts of a fish to help cure his father. Tobias obeyed the angels' instructions, and cured his father Tobit of his blindness. The angel Raphael also helped to save Tobias' wife from evil byt driving away a demon.

“And the angel said to them: Peace be to you, fear not. For when I was with you, I was there by the will of God: bless ye him, and sing praises to him.”  Tobit 12:17-18
