Ravens feed Elijah
When God sent a drought, He told the prophet Elijah to go to an area outside of the city. There. God sent Elijah food brought by ravens. Ravens are black birds with large beaks. The raven brought Elijah food so he could stay strong during the drought. In this way, God protected and fed His prophet.
“So he went, and did according to the word of the Lord: and going, he dwelt by the torrent Carith, which is over against the Jordan. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening, and he drank of tile torrent.” — 1 Kings 17:5-6
