Catholics Seeking Greater Meaning in Career Turn To Catechesis & Career Coaching for New Direction

State College, PA, January 25, 2012:  Many Catholics have expressed discouragement with their inability to find a career which aligns with their values, and still provides for their financial needs.   According to professionals at The Gifted Vocation and CatechismClass.com, frustration runs deep for many who wish to find meaningful careers, but instead find secular approaches to creating new or improved career direction fall short – so Catholics are turning to catechists and Catholic-based career coaches for assistance.

Catholics of all ages are uncovering newfound meaning in their careers through longstanding truths found in Scripture, and the Catechism of the Catholic Church; combined with today’s career coaching practices.   Taking on the wisdom of a solid Catholic foundation individuals have turned their careers into vocations, or “callings”, by aligning their Spiritual Gifts with God-given talents.

Those who have had catechetical instruction combined with coaching have found, “there is a transformation going on and I just need to listen closely to the Holy Spirit for guidance and courage.”  Or, as one mid-career professional stated, “Just to let you know that with the blessing of the Holy Spirit and with the necessary insight…provided, I was able to land myself a job.  To get out of the box and explore other new opportunity was not easy for me but with a lot of prayer and especially with the help of… (catechesis and coaching) I have developed the courage to try something different.”

CatechismClass.com, as part of their continuing commitment to catechesis in the Catholic Church, has recently partnered with career coaches at The Gifted Vocation to offer an innovative online approach to Catholic career coaching and catechesis.   Together they are offering a program designed to assist Catholics in uncovering their unique God-given talents and spiritual gifts, and researching new or improved career directions for the expression of those talents and gifts.
